Kenneth McIlvaine Real Estate Sales and Management: Ken entered the real estate profession in 1974 as a NJ Licensed sales person. In 1978, Ken obtained his real estate broker’s license. In 1977 he was appointed Office Manager for the Woodbury based company he had worked for. In 1981 he purchased the real estate firm. It had a sales staff of 20 licensed real estate agents. In 1984 he opened a second residential sales and marketing office. In 1987 he opened a third office to handle commercial/development and marketing. By 1990 the sales staff had grown from the initial 20 agents to over 140 agents. In 1993 he had sold the company and became a real estate consultant for a large non-profit corporation. In February 2000, he and his wife Wanda had started Budd Realty, Inc. with just himself and Wanda as the sales staff. Today, the sales staff has expanded to over 25 licensed agents and is still growing. Residential Home Construction: In 1984 Ken began a new home building corporation. From 1984 to 1992 the company had constructed over 175 homes in the greater Gloucester County real estate market. Home sizes ranged from just 900 square feet to over 4,000 square feet. Three new home communities had been developed. Real Estate Appraising: In 1992, during the time the federal and state governments began mandating real estate appraisers become licensed and certified, Ken completed all of the required appraising courses and obtained his certification as a New Jersey State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser (SCRREA). In addition to his residential appraising work he had completed over 1,500 hours in commercial real property appraisals. Real Estate Consulting: In 1994 Ken was appointed the only real estate consultant for a large non-profit organization handling its real estate assets in all six southern counties of New Jersey (Camden, Gloucester, Salem, Atlantic, Cumberland and Cape May Counties). Presently, he continues his consulting work for that same organization, as well as several others. Professional Designations and Memberships: Ken is a member of the National Association of Realtors®, the New Jersey State Association of Realtors®, the Gloucester/Salem County Board of Realtors®, and the Cape May County Board of Realtors®. He also belongs to the South Jersey Regional Shore MLS, the Cape May County MLS and TRenD MLS. He holds a New Jersey State real estate Brokers License and is Certified as a NJ State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser (SCRREA). He has obtained his designations as a Graduate of the Realtors® Institute (GRI) and he is a Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) as issued by the national Association of Realtors®.
