Mr. Sutro is a 14+ year veteran in the retail brokerage industry, who joined Lee & Associates NYC in 2012 as an associate in the retail leasing division. Prior to Lee, he spent three years with Cushman & Wakefield as retail leasing broker in San Diego, CA. Mr. Sutro has arranged high profile transactions in prominant retail corridors throughout NYC. Some of the notable owners and developers he has exclusively represented and transacted with include: The Blackstone Group, Vornado Realty Trust, Toll Brothers, The Durst Organization, Extell Development Group, The Rockefeller Group, Vanke, Brodsky, Rialto Capital, EMMES, Edison Properties, and Redsky Capital. Mr. Sutro has completed over 300 transactions with a variety of tenants including flagship locations for Apple, LVMH, Target Corp, PANDORA, Landmark Theatres, M&T Bank, Walgreens, Brandy Melville, Brooklyn Fare, Sweetgreen, ST. JOHN, and Pressed Juicery. Throughout his career, Mr. Sutro has closed over $1 billion in lease transactions. Mr. Sutro is an active member of Certified Commercial Investment Members (CCIM), REBNY Retail Committee Member, and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and has contributed to publications in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and numerous media outlets.
