Josh Gorin is the President of Savills Los Angeles region. Josh works closely with the firm’s leaders to recruit talent, identify areas of growth, and foster collaboration between business functions across the Los Angeles market. He represents a broad range of companies throughout the world on owned and leased properties with a focus on portfolio representation and complex headquarters assignments. Josh founded and was the former co-chair of the Savills Academy, which identifies and develops the next generation of company leaders throughout North America. Additionally, Josh serves on the firm’s North American Brokerage Board of Directors and has been with the firm for 25 years. During this time, Josh has led negotiations for transactions of more than 30 million square feet. Josh’s approach to strategic real estate planning, capital markets and leasing is comprehensive, holistic, and stems from his experience working in the investment industry and earning his law degree with a focus on real estate and litigation. He provides unique insight into the fiscal and competitive arenas that his clients operate their business within. Evaluating ownership and leased financial structures, Josh’s expertise covers such areas as Accretive Value Arbitrage, EBITDA Enhancement, Balance Sheet Optimization, Tax Credits and 501(c)(3) structured acquisitions, Balance Sheet Optimization, Strategic Planning, Workplace Optimization, Financial Engineering and Fixed Fee Build-to-Suits. Through this understanding, Josh develops and implements real estate plans for leading companies such as Apple, Sony, Goldman Sachs, Activision, Comcast, Citi, Panavision, Capitol Records, J.Crew, Berkshire Hathaway and Walmart.
