Josh Rowell

Josh Rowell joined Newmark’s San Mateo office in 1997, and became Managing Director of the office in 2011. He currently serves as Executive Managing Director, specializing in office and R&D properties, Rowell has completed numerous high-profile transactions ranging up to 800,000 square feet. He has represented several large transactions with Legacy Partners, Premia Capital, DivcoWest, Portside Investors, Invesco Ltd, Stockbridge/Wilson Meany, Hines, Swift Realty and Goldman Sachs. Rowell finished among the Top Five of the San Mateo office from 2000 to 2002 and 2004 to 2010, and was the number one agent in the office in 2005, 2007, 2008 and 2009. He also secured the number six spot on Newmark (NorCal)’s companywide Top Performers list in 2007, and number 18 in 2008. In 2006, he was honored with the Russ Thompson Award for exemplifying personal integrity and peer respect, and for promoting the best qualities of Newmark; and with the Network Award, for completing more transactions with other brokers than any other broker. In 2009, the San Jose Business Journal named him one of Silicon Valley’s 40 Under 40 intellectual and managerial talents to watch for in Bay Area business.
