Jose Augusto is a Broker at Algebra International/GMAC Real Estate, a real estate company that has its roots in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Over 30 years ago one of its founding partners, Jose Augusto, engineering student, started in the real estate business as a young Boy Scout selling lots at a part time job during weekends and summer vacations in a rural area of Rio de Janeiro. By the late 1970s, he decided to open his own building and real estate firm in Rio de Janeiro. Interested in expanding into international real estate operations, the engineer Jose Augusto began representing Florida developers in Brazil. Due to the high demand for Florida housing by the Brazilian market, Algebra International/GMAC Real Estate was formed in Miami in the early 1990s. Today, Algebra has buyers in five continents, with a concentration in North America and Brazil, all looking for a home in Miami. In 2000, Algebra Investment Corporation became Algebra International/GMAC Real Estate.
