Jonathan Owens

Jonathan Owens is a director with Newmark. He represents landlords as a leasing specialist, and tenants with their start-up and expansion goals. Jonathan is particularly experienced with development, leasing regional and community shopping centers, and equity projects that stabilize challenged properties. He is experienced working through entitlements, construction and development, leasing, and project management. Jonathan started his commercial real estate career with Cushman & Wakefield in 2009, quickly becoming a critical asset to the retail division. He joined Newmark in 2019 as a director in the retail division in the Salt Lake City office. Born and raised in Utah, Jonathan has a deep knowledge of, and connection to the Salt Lake community. His understanding of the retail market is reinforced by his dedication, problem-solving skills, and access to current market data and resources. His unique experience, coupled with his formal education and extensive knowledge of the market, set him apart in the industry.
