Jon Ruzicka is a First Vice President within Marcus & Millichap's Minneapolis office as well as a Director within the firm’s exclusive Hospitality Division. He began his career with Marcus & Millichap in 2011 tasked with the assignment of establishing a presence within the Upper Midwest’s hospitality brokerage community. Since then he and his team members have become the area’s premier hospitality brokerage group. Mr. Ruzicka and his team focus on the acquisition, disposition, financing and refinancing of hospitality properties throughout the five-state area including: Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa. He is a recipient of the firm’s prestigious National Achievement Award. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ruzicka worked in the hospitality industry holding positions within all departments of hotel management. His experiences give him the unique expertise needed to smoothly navigate hotel owners and investors through the sale process specific to the hospitality industry. Mr. Ruzicka's hotel operations background also provide for expertise that buyers and sellers respect, wisdom that speaks from a working knowledge of the trade, and in-depth awareness of the market he represents. Mr. Ruzicka is a Business Leadership and Management graduate from the University of St. Thomas. He also received an honorable discharge at the conclusion of a six-year enlistment as a Combat Engineer in the Minnesota Army National Guard including active duty serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom 2.
