John Slattery joined the CBRE team in 2000 with a focus on the industrial market in Sonora, Mexico. He began working in Mexico in 1991 brokering construction supplies for commercial building projects. John took the knowledge learned from this enterprise and applied it to the creation of two businesses in Mexico specializing in the fabrication, sale and installation of architectural products for large commercial buildings. These companies provided products and services for a variety of projects including buildings for Motorola, Fortune Brands, Molex, General Instruments, Alcatel, CIMA Hospitals and many others. During this time John lived in and visited cities all over Mexico. He has consulted other companies launching operations in Mexico and remains closely connected to the business community there. John's extensive experience in Mexico has provided him with a strong command of the Spanish language and a keen understanding of the native culture. Since joining CBRE, John has worked on projects for Becton Dickinson, Adflex Mexico, Nu-Pro Innovations, Meadowcraft and others. His focus has remained on the industrial market in Mexico and he has limited his practice to specialize in this market.
