John Mottram

As a native of California, John graduated from California State University, Chico, in 1982. After moving to Montgomery, AL, John worked for Jim Wilson & Associates for four years where he was the lead leasing agent for four regional malls in the Carolinas, as well as the RIverchase Galleria, in Birmingham, AL. After Jim Wilson & Associates, John was the Vice President of Leasing and Development for 16 years at McClinton & Company, also in Montgomery. There, his responsibilities included land acquisition for various commercial developments, coordination of zoning, planning, construction schedules, budgets, leasing, sales and tenant representation. John specializes in land acquisition, such as the compilation of 70 different parcels assembled for Midtown Plaza in Montgomery. In addition, he has developed a strong ability to market commercial properties for such clients as Wal-Mart Realty. John founded JJ Mottram Company in 2007 and most recently has developed properties for Verizon, Family Dollar, Starbuck's, Kay's Jewelers, and Buffalo Wild Wings. He has 30 years’ experience in retail leasing, marketing, tenant representation and development of commercial real estate.
