John is a Charleston native, 3rd generation of family businesses serving the Charleston area. His grandfather opened a shoe store here in 1921 and his father retired and closed it in 1992. He worked selling shoes from the age of 13 and along the way tried many other fields of work eventually finding his way into the auto repair business. In 1990 at the age of 27 John purchased the Midas franchise in Charleston and in 1996 he bought the Midas in Mattoon. He converted those franchised shops to his own concept/name in 2014 and continued another 4 years as Inyart Tire and Auto Centers. He sold the businesses in 2018. Over the 28 yeas he was self-employed he worked hard to maintain a solid reputation in an industry where consumer skepticism is very high. Doing the right thing and enabling his people to do the same was always his main focus and many of his employees worked 15, 20, and even 28 years for him. He's proud to say that honesty and integrity is something the Inyart name has stood for in and around Charleston for over 100 years. He served in public office as mayor of Charleston for two terms from 2005 until 2013. During this time he learned a lot about how communities operate. Land use, zoning, development, and continued redevelopment are all vital to the overall health of any community. He met with homeowners and business leaders as well as developers all with their own set of unique concerns. He will apply the knowledge and customer skills he has developed over the years to serve as a successful broker. He has been both a commercial tenant and landlord and he has worked with national franchisors and individuals. He understand buying and selling of residential, commercial, as well as income producing property and would be happy to assist you in any way.
