John Ford
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, John Ford has managed and sold properties in Georgia since 1971. He graduated from Georgia Military Academy, now Woodward Academy, in 1963 and received a Bachelor’s degree from University of Georgia. Upon graduation, he received a direct appointment by LB Johnson as a 2nd Lieutenant in Medical Service Corps USA Army and received Bronze Star in Vietnam. After serving in the Army, John and his father, Charles C. Ford “Chuck”, formed Ford and Associates and worked together until Chuck’s death in 1976. Chuck helped build and manage the Fulton National Bank building (55 Marietta Street) and National Bank of Georgia (34 Peachtree Street). John and Chuck finished construction, leased and managed 101 Marietta Tower. Additionally, John remodeled, leased and managed the 10 Park Place South (formerly 10 Pryor Street building), and placed it on the National Historic Registry. Today, John purchases, remodels, and leases properties all over Georgia, specializing in personalized design and construction of retail/office space within properties. An active member of the Atlanta community, John has been a Cub Scout Pack Master, member of Central Atlanta Progress, President of Northside Kiwanis Club, Lieutenant Governor of District One, and helped to start Park Pride Atlanta. John enjoys meeting clients’ needs with exceptional and unique properties at reasonable prices.
