John Ellis

John Ellis is a Managing Director with RKF’s Miami office. He is experienced in market planning, construction and lease negotiation and has represented both tenants and landlords in their retail needs. John has worked with numerous national retailers, including Kroger, BoConcept, Shake Shack, Fox Restaurant Group, Einstein Bros. Bagels, Walgreens, Citibank, Aesop Cosmetics, RED Digital Cinema, Boston Market, GNC, Spot Coffee, Vapiano, Longhua USA, Luxottica, Scavolini Kitchens, Bobby Berk Home, Freshii, Dress Barn, Five Guys and the Kohler Company: Baker Furniture and Ann Sacks Tile & Stone. He has also executed numerous leases with regional and national landlords, including Brickman, Rockpoint Group, L3 Capital, Mass Mutual, Phillips Edison & Co., Ramco-Gershenson, Kite Realty, Equity Residential, General Growth Companies, Morgan Stanley, NorthEnd Equities LLC, Thor Equities, Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation, Duke Real Estate, Westfield, Prudential, Met Life, Regency Centers, The Carlyle Group and Inland RE Group of Companies. Prior to joining Newmark, John was the Managing Director at RKF. Previously, he worked at iFloor in Seattle, WA as the Director of Development. John earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics for the University of Wisconsin-Madison. John received a Construction Administration License, Graduate Certificate from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Florida and a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
