John Culbertson founded Cardinal Real Estate Partners, LLC after serving as Senior Vice President at Trammell Crow Company and International Airport Centers, an institutional real estate developer of airport cargo facilities owned by a top-five pension fund. He has both transaction and development experience locally and nationally and has worked extensively with private and public clients. John set out on his own to fulfill the need for a creative, yet process-oriented partner in real estate. He prides himself on simplifying even the most complex real estate deals, and he’s always up for a challenge. Regardless of whether you’re interested in real estate sales, leasing or development, John has a proprietary process ready to help you succeed. A native Charlottean, John obtained his MBA from the McColl School of Business (the Executive MBA program at Queens College) and is a frequent participant in Harvard’s Program on Negotiation. He is constantly active in the industry, and served on several boards, including the North Carolina Turnpike Authority (Chair of Plans and Programming), NAIOP, REBIC, the Charlotte Regional Transportation Planning Organization, the Charlotte Regional Roads Committee, the North Carolina Department of Commerce Economic Development Board, and the Charlotte Regional Partnership Board. He has on the McColl Center Board of Directors and the UNC Charlotte Childress-Klein Center for Real Estate Board of Advisors, the Catawba Lands Conservancy Board of Directors, and RWCI Board of Directors among others. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute. Despite his activity in the industry, John still finds time to be an active member of the Charlotte community. Since 2000, John has been an enthusiastic participant in the Strategic Coach™ program. John previously sat on the board of directors for the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte and the development committee for Trinity Episcopal School. John serves as the president ex-officio of the Queens University Learning Society and is currently on the Board of Advisors for the UNCC Masters in Real Estate program.
