John Burchmore

John came to Telluride with a background of resort sales, marketing, and development to oversee the design, construction and marketing of the Telluride Conference Center. He served as President of the Telluride Visitor Services Board, Chairman of the Regional Marketing Committee, served on the Mountain Village Town Council and has served on the Mountain Village Design Review Board. John’s experience in Telluride and Mountain Village is extensive. His knowledge of the region and integrity will serve investors with diverse needs and interests. Having lived in mountain and resort communities for the past 30 years, John has a passion and insight into Telluride’s unique attributes. “Having marketed resort communities for many years, I have truly been moved by the remote location, staggering scenic beauty and dynamic cultural activities available to our family. This is truly one of North America’s extraordinary places.” John’s real estate career began in 1983 after graduating from Ripon College, WI, with a degree in Economics; John went to work for commercial real estate leader Fuller Commercial Brokerage in Chicago. From there John moved to the first of many resort destinations, working for DSI Resort Properties of Traverse City, MI. His experiences are diverse from managing the opening ceremonies for World Cup Ski Racing in Aspen to climbing and skiing Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina and Mt. Elbrus in Russia.
