ABOUT

Joe assists in the daily operations and leasing of a mixed-use commercial portfolio containing over 500,000 square feet. He is active in the acquisitions and development of commercial real estate throughout New England and also provides management, brokerage and consulting services. Prior to joining The Discovery Group, Joe served as Vice President of leasing for The Flatley Company located in Braintree, MA. He was responsible for managing the retail leasing division overseeing a portfolio consisting of fifteen Class A shopping centers totaling over 2.4 million square feet. Joe also served for three years as Senior Vice President for Hunneman Commercial Company, one of the largest commercial brokerage companies located in Boston, MA. He managed the retail division, which consisted of seven brokers and three administrators covering Eastern Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Southern New Hampshire. Joe’s commercial real estate experience includes: Vice President of Retail Real Estate for Paramount Properties Group of Providence, RI, commercial property manager and broker for Picerne Properties of Warwick, RI and Assistant Property Manager for the Flatley Company’s Garden City Shopping Center in Cranston, RI. Joe has an extensive commercial real estate background with a thorough knowledge of the Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts real estate market. He is a certified leasing specialist (CLS), a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and a former board member of NACORE International. He is also a licensed Real Estate Broker in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Joe holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Suffolk University and is a graduate of Rhode Island College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. He has also completed and earned certificates in the Real Estate Finance Association (REFA) and the Real Estate Studies programs at Boston University.
