Joe is a uniquely qualified commercial real estate practitioner who also brings 45 years of experience in the areas of government, law, investigations, business, ethics, and management to client representation. He earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy, SUNY Albany, which is recognized by U.S. News and World Report, as one of the top Grad Schools in the country. He also has a BA degree in Sociology from the College of St. Rose, Albany, NY, and an A.A.S in Paralegal Studies, from SUNY, Schenectady County Community, College, Schenectady, NY. Joe served as an Investigator with the New York Court System’s Attorney Grievance Committee, Third Judicial Department, which investigates and prosecutes attorneys for professional misconduct for 30+ years. As the Professional Services Administrator for the Greater Capital Association of Realtors®, he managed the Realtor® complaint, mediation and arbitration programs, for the past 3 years. He has also represented commercial and residential property owners, investors, and local and regional companies in the purchase, sale and leasing of real property, as a NYS licensed sales agent and/or associate broker for 16 years. In this capacity he has: counseled purchasers/investors to establish property transaction parameters; located properties which met purchaser/investor specifications; conducted comprehensive due diligence and market analysis; researched zoning, environmental, and other regulatory issues relevant to transactions; negotiated terms of transactions and prepared contracts to purchase, sell and lease; assisted clients, legal counsel, financial advisors and other real estate professionals with closing transactions; determined real property market value, by using multiple listing services and other methods; and listed, marketed, sold, and leased, commercial and residential property. When not zealously advocating for his real estate clients, Joe also serves on the Board of Directors of the Lansingburgh Boys and Girls Club (Troy, NY), as a volunteer firefighter in his home district, Fort Hunter Fire Company (Guilderland, NY), and as a member of the Executive Board of Hot Tech Industries, LLC, (Harrisburg, OR), which focuses on developing a sustainable thermodynamic heat transfer process to improve efficiency and costs in many industrial, commercial, and public safety applications.
