Jim Smoot

Jim Smoot joined Samples Properties in late 2012. Jim is responsible for supporting Samples’ efforts in all multi-family, office and retail acquisitions, as well as development and management opportunities. During his multifamily career, Jim has directed renovations exceeding $35,000,000 and has been directly involved in new development and lease-up of twenty-nine multi-family properties. Jim has had direct involvement in property acquisitions and dispositions from both an ownership and third-party advisory perspective. Jim is a licensed Real Estate Agent in Alabama and Georgia, and is a candidate for the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management. Jim attended Auburn University where he majored in Mechanical Engineering.
