Jesse Cardenas joined Newmark’s San Mateo office in January 2011 with nearly 10 years of commercial real estate experience. Mr. Cardenas specializes in industrial and R&D properties and has a working knowledge of the biotechnology industry having worked with Genentech, Inc. for over five years. Prior to joining Newmark, Mr. Cardenas worked at Coldwell Banker Commercial West Bay Real Estate Group in Burlingame, where he the top producer at Coldwell Banker in 2002, 2009 and 2010 and a CoStar Power Broker in 2006 and 2009. To date, Mr. Cardenas has sold over 15 commercial properties totaling over 500,000 square feet and leased over 400,000 square feet of commercial property ranging from Biotech and R&D to industrial properties. Some of Mr. Cardenas’ highlights include the lease and eventual sale of over 85,000 square feet of a food processing facility, the relocation of a biotech company headquarters from Michigan to California and the sale of a 200,000-square-foot corporate headquarters for a Fortune 500 company in Florida with relocation to California.
