Jeremy Hakala joined Newmark Grubb Knight Frank in January 2015 as an associate in the firm's Miami office, where he is part of a team of seasoned tenant representatives led by Vice Chairmen Greg Katz in Miami and Tim Capps in Raleigh. As a member of one of the top tenant representation teams in the Southeast, Mr. Hakala's role is to develop tenant relationships and connections that build the team's tenant representation practice. Over the past two years, the team has successfully completed more than 1.5 million square feet of transactions for corporate headquarters and law firms locally, regionally and nationally. Prior to joining Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, Mr. Hakala was an active tennis professional in South Florida, where he developed the interpersonal skills that compliment his ability to develop relationships with prospective tenants. Mr. Hakala is still active in tennis and is a founding member of the United States Professional Tennis Association's U30 Project, which provides young tennis professionals with continuing education opportunities. Mr. Hakala is currently the project's fundraising chairman.
