Bennett’s responsibilities included the financing procurement for Area Jobs Development Association, a not-for-profit with the Mayors of Bradley, Bourbonnais and Kankakee as Board Members, successfully procuring $2.1 million from the United States Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration and $1.4 million from the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs Community Development Administration. Bennett has owned, developed and sold commercial buildings, industrial parks, and manufacturing home communities while regularly participating in over $20 million of real estate sales transactions annually. Growing Bennett Commercial’s sales to $150 million annually with 25 sales agents. An example of several non-traditional would include the sale of the 315 acre Phipps Farm in Manteno, IL to SouthCreek LLC. The Starker exchange had SouthCreek working with Bennett thru the zoning/subdivision process, negotiating sales tax sharing agreement and the land cash contribution providing for a 25 acre public park and 15 acres for the newly built Manteno Elementary School. That entitlement work was also completed for 164 lots in Eagles Landing, Bourbonnais, 150 lots, Phipps Farm and a 320 acre project, Prairie Lakes, both in Bourbonnais.
