Jared Smits

Jared Smits is a Principal of Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura specializing in representing investors, landlords, tenants and business owners in the leasing and sale of office properties in the greater Los Angeles area with a focus on Los Angeles North, Conejo Valley and Ventura County. He has executed more than $200 million in transactions over the past five years, providing expert service to a client list that includes financial services, entertainment, technology and professional services firms as well as private and public equity property owners. Mr. Smits and his team serve as exclusive leasing agents charged with the sale or leasing of nearly 1 million square feet of office properties. He is actively engaged in marketing and leasing 20 distinct properties for a prestigious roster of investors and developers that includes Dolphin Partners, HP Properties, ICO Development, Nearon Enterprises, Selleck Development Group and Strategic LA. Since joining Lee & Associates, Mr. Smits has ranked among its top producers and was elevated to Principal status in recognition of his accomplishment and productivity in 2018. Earlier he served with Cassidy Turley and NAI Capital, where he was recognized as Rookie of the Year and earned a promotion to Vice President after just two years. While still a student, Mr. Smits served as a real estate research analyst for Colliers International in Carlsbad, CA, and upon graduation, accepted a post graduate internship with the Corporate Operations and Real Estate Division (CORE) of The Walt Disney Company. He began his commercial real estate career at Studley, Inc. in Downtown L.A. where he specialized in tenant and buyer representation.
