James Sinclair

James W. Sinclair is a Broker with CMI Brokerage, an affiliate of Central Management, Inc. He specializes in providing advisory services to property owners, investors, and tenants in the areas of acquisitions, dispositions, financial review and analysis, and operations. Prior to joining CMI Brokerage, Mr. Sinclair was a Principal with Sinclair Real Estate Consulting, providing similar advisory services to property managers, owners, investors and tenants. Mr. Sinclair has over 35 years of experience in the Houston real estate market. He most recently served as a Property Manager at Allen Center for Brookfield Properties in Houston. Prior to joining Brookfield, he served as the Director of Property Management for Cencor Realty Services, overseeing retail centers throughout the market. He also served as the Director of Property Management for Williford Property Group, where his portfolio included properties in Houston, Corpus Christi, Abilene, and Atlanta. Prior to joining Williford, he was a Property Manager with Transwestern, managing the Esperson Buildings in downtown Houston. Mr. Sinclair has also had experience with Senterra Real Estate Group, Metro National Corporation, Homart Development, and Hines. Before entering the real estate industry, Mr. Sinclair was a producer and director for television stations in Houston, San Antonio, and Waco. Mr. Sinclair is a native Texan, born and raised in San Antonio. He graduated from Baylor University with a BA in Political Science and has an MA in Theology from Houston Graduate School of Theology. He holds a Texas Real Estate Broker license, the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation awarded by the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute, the CPM® (Certified Property Manager®) designation awarded by the Institute of Real Estate Management, and the RPA (Real Property Administrator) designation awarded by BOMI. He is active in IREM Houston Chapter No. 28, having served on numerous committees, as President, and as an instructor for both local and national courses and seminars. Mr. Sinclair is married to Mary Jane, and they have one daughter and one grandson. He is a member of the Church of Christ in Champions, where he is active in the FriendSpeak program, teaching English to non-English speakers. He enjoys classical music, particularly the harp and guitar, both playing and listening.
