James Goldsmith

James A. Goldsmith is President & CEO of Gator Investments, a real estate development, management, and brokerage company he founded in 1986. Under his leadership, the firm has developed and/or renovated more than 10 million square feet of retail and specialty properties as well as approximately 2,000 apartment units, and has been responsible for the development, sales, and leasing of over a half billion dollars of real estate. His focus spans retail and specialty property development, management, and brokerage, along with multifamily investment across markets including South Florida, Boston, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, and other major U.S. metros. Prior to founding Gator Investments, Mr. Goldsmith specialized in investments at Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate in Miami. In 1984, he was the top retail leasing salesperson in the firm's Miami office, and in 1985 he received the Top Investment Salesperson Award for the Southern United States. He left Coldwell Banker in 1986 to establish Gator Investments.
