Jake McClaughry

As an Associate Vice President at Western Retail Advisors, Jake McClaughry’s area of expertise is in landlord and tenant representation as well as representing buyers and sellers of properties ranging from vacant buildings and undeveloped land to value-add and stabilized investment properties. Jake is a proud alumnus of the University of Arizona where he majored in Political Science with an emphasis in Law & Public Policy and minored in Business Administration. During his schooling in Tucson Jake enjoyed a comprehensive internship for Larsen Baker, one of the leading commercial real estate firms in the Southwest with a portfolio of over 3,000,000 SF of properties. The experience of working with the largest independent retail-commercial property owner in Tucson played an integral part in helping to shape Jake’s brokerage career. When analyzing and negotiating deals Jake uses his critical thinking skills to recognize the key points from both the landlord and tenant’s perspectives in order to ensure a smooth transaction occurs. Jake also takes pride in his motivated work ethic, the high energy he brings to work each day, and his ability to collaborate with all brokers in the office. Since becoming a broker in 2018 Jake has closed over $30,000,000 in transaction volume. Jake is an active member of ISCS, ICSC NextGen, and DCREP. Outside the office, Jake enjoys traveling and challenging himself in the gym, on hikes, and competing with his friends on the golf course.
