Jackson Wheless

Jo Ann Wheless lists, sells and leases retail and commercial properties primarily in the Shreveport and Bossier City market. As a specialist in the retail market, Jo Ann provides her clients with a wide array of valuable services including site selection and contract negotiations, marketing plans, consultations, space evaluations and planning coordination. With twenty-four years of experience in the real estate business, Wheless has developed working relationships with major developers, national firms and many local and regional companies. She has completed transactions for developers representing Office Depot, K&B Drugs and Books-A-Million and has represented retailers such as Wendy's International, Inc. She has also represented several ownership groups in the sale of area shopping centers such as Portico Shopping Center, Canterbury Shopping Center and Sunset Village Shopping Center. Wheless' associations with these national companies combined with her experience in the local market, give her a solid and complete understanding of the retail market. Wheless has been actively involved in the development of Sealy's retail marketing plan and has greatly contributed to the company's client data base. She has been instrumental in creating retail leasing materials which offer clients up-to-date reports on the physical, economic and space plan data of various properties in the local market. Her extensive knowledge of the retail market and availability of Sealy's Resource Data Center, enable Wheless to provide accurate inventory absorption studies and annual retail market reviews. Wheless holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from McNeese State University and continues her education by attending relevant seminars and courses. She is a Realtor Member and past president of the Shreveport-Bossier Board of Realtors, a member and director of the Louisiana REALTORS® Association , and a member of the National Association of REALTORS® and the International Council of Shopping Centers.
