The Hopkins Group of Marcus & Millichap is dedicated to being the concierge of real estate brokerage services for our clients. It is headed by Jack Hopkins, a former CPA and consultant with Arthur Andersen, who first started in the Newport Beach office of Marcus & Millichap in 1981. Along with other group members, he has built up relationships throughout the country that enables them to 'make and close' deals in the most professional manner possible. Hopkins' track record, now exceeding over $1 Billion in investment transactions, is proof of his success. Jack Hopkins' focus and passion is retail. This primarily relates to Hopkins' success in creating and founding two retail concepts, publicly traded PacSun being his most notable. The bulk of Hopkins' track record can be traced to retail centers and single tenant net leased properties throughout the country however Hopkins' has also closed on over $200M in apartments and another $150M in office/industrial & mixed-use deals. During the last five years, Hopkins has also found success in selling 'raw and entitled' land, primarily based on his expertise in calculating land residuals.
