Herb Arathoon joined the Property Management Division of Compass Commercial Real Estate Services in January of 2007. Herb has been a licensed Real Estate Broker since 1997. He has extensive experience in managing everything from large shopping centers with national tenants to small office buildings. He was the property manager for the Forum Shopping Center for three years and has had up to 400,000 square feet of commercial property under management. He currently manages 18 buildings, a combination of industrial, office and retail. As a Property Manager at Compass, Herb’s expertise will be used to manage at least 16 properties. Herb’s duties include day-to-day management, emergency response, budget preparation, CAM/NNN report reconciliation, vendor hiring, common area supervision, maintenance and repairs for our clients. As a Broker, Herb will also meet with potential tenants, show property, prepare letters of intent, and act as liaison between landlords, tenants and contractors. Herb holds an MBA from City University (Bellevue, WA) in Financial Management and a BS in Business Administration from Oregon State University. He has lived in Central Oregon for 31 years and during his free time loves to water-ski, read and enjoy the lakes that surround Bend. He is also co-owner with his son and wife of three Taco del Mar restaurants in Bend and Redmond. Herb has been married to Mary for 46 years and they have three grown children and five grand-daughters. Herb is fluent in Spanish.
