Helen organizes, coordinates, and administers a variety of responsibilities for Corporate Realty. Her passion for community service, her pragmatic personality, and her love for all swag explains her title as Director of Special Projects. Helen serves as a liaison between staff and leadership. She provides oversight for compliance, IT, record keeping, contracts, budgets, and marketing. Helen works on new projects and initiatives and organizes and leads the company’s community service projects and participation. She joined Corporate Realty in 1991 after working for 10 years in the stock market world. Helen began her career in 1981 at a regional brokerage firm and in 1987 left to help start a new DBE brokerage firm. Helen is the co-founder of Girls First, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to promoting sport and movement opportunities to inner city girls in the New Orleans area. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Gulf Coast Family Services. She is also a past Chair for Crescent Care, NO/AIDS Walk and Art Against AIDS. She has received numerous awards for her community service including Gambit’s 40 Under 40 recognition, the Humanitarian Award from NO/AIDS Task Force, the Sweets Art’s Honoree from the Contemporary Arts Center, the Young Leadership Council’s Role Model Award and named as one of CityBusiness’ Women of the Year. Helen is a graduate of Loyola University with a degree in English and a native of Selma, Alabama.
