Harry Scott

Harry Scott is a lifelong Texan who came to Austin originally in 1986 to attend the University of Texas. While he was in college, he was able to intern for two separate established commercial real estate firms and those experiences galvanized his passion for the industry. Harry’s graduation from UT in 1990 coincided with an economic downturn and a stagnant real estate market so he took that opportunity to take a job with IBM and get formal training in customer relationships and early forms of technology. Since that short stint with IBM he has been in and around commercial real estate ever since. The first two decades of Harry’s career were focused on all things retail. Starting with being on a leasing team that handled a 25-property portfolio for Aetna Property and Casualty Company. That project leasing experience led to relationships and in-depth market knowledge that prepared him to represent tenants with excellence. While at Trammell Crow Company Harry furthered his project leasing and tenant representation skills and portfolio’s but was also afforded the opportunity to work alongside the investment sales team and development team. Harry left Trammell Crow Company to start and become the retail partner for the Austin office of Cushman & Wakefield. After a meaningful time with Cushman, Harry opted to join the start of the Austin office of The Retail Connection. Harry’s business had progressively moved towards proprietary investments and developments along with his own portfolio of owners and tenants so branching out on his own made sense and became a reality in May of 2019 with the launch of Sovereign Commercial.
