After graduating from college and grad school Gordon briefly taught at a Continuation HS in the Bay Area. After one year he realized he was not cut out to be a teacher and needed a business education. Thus he went to work with the Xerox Corp. in Oakland, Calif. At Xerox he received excellent training in both the Sales/Marketing disciplines. After Xerox he went to work in selling computers with Sperry Univac. After 2 years at Univac he became disenchanted with the corporate structure at the firm and wanted more control over his business career. He obtained a Calif. RE Lic. and finally found a career he loved and a company that he loved. MARCUS MILLICHAP, INC he left Marcus in the 90's RE downturn and worked at Merril Lynch and helped them develop his program of inventorying a then new real estate security known as OP Units. He brought in $40 Million of these securities and was awarded the coveted SUPERSTAR AWARD given to brokers after their first year with the firm. As real estate was back in voque he returned to MARCUS MILLICHAP in 1999 and has been there ever since.
