George Thomson

One of southern California’s top commercial real estate professionals, George Thomson joined Newmark in 2017 and now holds the position of Executive Managing Director in the Irvine, California office. George brings to his position more than 30 years of experience in real estate brokerage, finance, acquisition and development, having completed more than 1000 transactions with a total value in excess of $2.5 billion. He has acted both as a principal and as an advisor representing institutional and private capital partners, landlords, tenants, sellers and investors. George joined Newmark after nearly five years at JLL, where he was a Senior Vice President specializing in representing landlords and tenants in Orange County and Los Angeles. Prior to JLL, George was a principal and shareholder at Lee & Associates in their Orange, California office. He also founded and was president of Westbridge Realty Advisors, a boutique commercial real estate investment firm located in Long Beach, California. George lives in the Long Beach community of Naples with his wife Ann and their four children, Emily, Hannah, George and Michael.
