Francis Rentz, CCIM, is a principal with SouthLand Commercial in North Florida and has over 14 years of experience spanning the commercial real estate industry. Since beginning his career in commercial real estate, Francis has provided brokerage services in a variety of capacities. In 1998, Francis was responsible for the disposition of assets for the Capital Hotel Group Bankruptcy case, netting over $5.5 million for the trustee. He also managed assets in Tallahassee for GE Capital for over 10 years. He assisted in site selection for such companies as Chevron, Eckerd Drugs, Outback Steak House, and The Home Depot. His office leasing experience includes work for the State of Florida Pension Fund, Gulf Power, SAIC, Pharmerica, Brown & Root Engineers, ABB Engineers, and the Ruden Barnett Law Firm. His other key professional relationships include Kimco Realty, Florida Bankers Association, Harley Davidson, Hunter Oil Company, and Dunkin Doughnuts. Prior to founding SouthLand Commercial with partner Carlton Dean, CCIM, Francis served as Senior Director with Advantis Real Estate Services Company in Tallahassee, Florida. Before that he served as Vice President of SouthGroup Properties, Inc. Francis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate and Finance from the Florida State University. He is also a graduate of the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute and holds the CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) designation, earning him recognition as an expert not only in commercial real estate brokerage, but also in site selection, development, leasing, valuation, and investment analysis. Recognized in 2000 as Tallahassee Commercial Broker of the Year, Francis was also a member of the Advantis Real Estate Services Company Presidents Club, the CCIM Institute, the Florida CCIM Chapter, the Tallahassee Board of Realtors, the Florida and National Association of Realtors, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the National Association of Industrial & Office Properties (NAIOP), and is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Florida.
