Eugene J. Kenney joined Cushman & Wakefield as Senior Director in January 2010. He brings with him more than three decades of commercial real estate experience including office condominium sales and owner and tenant leasing representation. During his career, Mr. Kenney has closed more than $500 million in sales and leasing transactions with both public and private sector clients. In 1991, he closed the largest tenant representation transaction of the year in DC for 226,709 square feet. Mr. Kenney is a recognized national industry expert in office condominium sales and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. Prior to joining C&W, Mr. Kenney had a successful 15-year tenure with Akridge, where he oversaw the development and implementation of a comprehensive strategy for leasing and condominium sales for Akridge and third party clients. His background also includes mortgage banking, primarily working with government assisted, multifamily housing finance programs. Mr. Kenney is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Washington, DC and Virginia and a Licensed Salesperson in Maryland. He is a Member of the Government and Legislative Affairs Committee of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association. Mr. Kenney is a past Regional Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors. In addition, he is a Lifetime Member of the GWCAR Multi-Million Dollar Commercial Leasing Club and a Member of the Multi-Million Dollar Commercial Sales Club. Mr. Kenney has a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from George Washington University.
