Ed Tonnessen

Ed Tonnessen is the Executive Managing Director of JLL’s Stamford, CT office. He has more than 30 years of experience in negotiating office leases and sales in Fairfield and Westchester Counties. He is the senior market transaction leader in the Stamford office for JLL clients - for both tenant representation and agency assignments. Ed’s philosophy is to elevate the client experience beyond all expectations. Ed has broad experience across all vertical markets for corporate real estate, but has a coincidental concentration in the Financial segment (hedge funds and private equity), Law firms and Reinsurance firms/businesses. He also has extensive Agency (landlord representation) experience for significant projects with institutional clients. Prior to joining JLL, Ed specialized in corporate office leasing and sales brokerage managing Albert B. Ashforth's Connecticut brokerage operation as Executive Vice President. Ed holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. He has served on the Board of Directors for CT Children’s Medical Center Foundation and March of Dimes, and current serves on the Board of Directors for Ridgefield Sunrise Cottage. Ed is also active in the Business Council.
