Experience In May 2014, Mr. Kington, together with Wendy Blair, launched RE/MAX Commercial Logic, the first "commercial only" RE/MAX franchise in Maryland, and one of only 40 such franchises globally. RE/MAX Commercial Logic provides commercial real estate brokerage, consulting and property management services to small businesses, non-profits, and investors throughout the Metropolitan Baltimore Area. The experienced agents at RE/MAX Commercial Logic have created a strong record of success, completing over 189 transactions, having a combined value in excess of $55.1 million in deal volume, including 544,000 SF of commercial space, 84 multifamily units and 28 acres of industrial land. Prior to launching RE/MAX Commercial Logic, Mr. Kington founded and led Kington Commercial, a commercial brokerage firm that provided brokerage, consulting and property management services to clients in the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. region. Kington Commercial completed 64 transactions comprising of 336,086 square feet of commercial space and 45 multifamily units, with a total value of $38.5 million. Before founding Kington Commercial, Mr. Kington worked for Cushman & Wakefield's McLean, Virginia (Tysons Corner) office as a broker. His practice focused on office and technology tenant representation, landlord agency, and investment sales. During his tenure, he negotiated 76 lease and sales transactions for over 925,000 square feet, having a total value of $88.2 million. He worked on teams that represented firms such as: General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, Progressive Insurance, New York Life Insurance Company, MARCORP and RWD Technologies. Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Kington headed the Commercial Group of Otis Warren & Company, Inc., in Baltimore, Maryland, where he provided brokerage services to such clients as NationsBank (now Bank of America), Signet Bank (now Wells Fargo Bank) and LaVan Hawkins InnerCity Foods (dba Checkers). Mr. Kington began his commercial real estate career managing the corporate real estate department of USF&G Insurance Company in Baltimore, Maryland, where he led a team that managed a portfolio of 169 leases containing 1.9 million square feet and 18 assets valued at $220 million. Awards and Professional Activities Mr. Kington was recognized with the Commercial Leasing Award from the Greater Washington Commercial Association of REALTORS® in 2000, 2001 and 2002. He is a past Chairman of the Commercial Education Committee of the Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors. Mr. Kington has appeared on the weekly radio program, Real Money Radio, hosted by Deborah Owens on WEAA, 88.9 FM, the radio station of Morgan State University. As the visiting expert, he discussed commercial real estate issues of interest to small business owners. Licenses Mr. Kington is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Maryland. While at Cushman & Wakefield, he was also a licensed real estate salesperson in the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
