Douglas J. Quiroz serves as President of Quiroz Commercial where he oversees Quiroz Commercials operations. Quiroz brings with him to his real estate career more than 28 years of value added business, project management and construction project oversight experience. Quiroz’s passion for business development and strategic marketing is reflected in his instrumental efforts to create and manage three successful businesses over the course of the past 25 years. Prior to founding Quiroz Commercial, Quiroz began developing his commercial real estate career as a retail leasing agent for Cemo Commercial, Inc.. Quiroz invested 13 years of his career with Cemo Commercial where he gained valuable experience in all disciplines of real estate. Quiroz quickly advanced within the ranks of Cemo Commercial participating in acquisitions, dispositions, property management and development of new properties all while serving as President of Cemo Commercial. Prior to joining Cemo Commercial, Quiroz managed the design, development and construction operations for California projects with Costa Communities, Inc., a Colorado-based multi-family development company. While there, Quiroz was responsible for developing design budgets, managing design teams, expediting project approval through the planning and building departments and developing scopes, schedules, and budgets for construction of two $50 million for-sale condominium projects in Northern California. On the more administrative side, Quiroz was responsible for developing and processing the Department of Real Estate documents to form homeowners’ associations and their budgets, as well as developing a home warranty program for prospective buyers. In 1998, Quiroz founded Aggressive Concepts, a computer graphics and design company providing services to the environmental industry. As Aggressive Concepts’ environmental client base rapidly grew, Quiroz recognized an opportunity to leverage his company’s success by teaming with an environmental consulting firm; in 2003, Aggressive Concepts merged with Groundworks Environmental, Inc. (Groundworks). Quiroz’s new role as Vice President of Business Development at Groundworks quickly produced many new opportunities, including a large-scale data management project where Quiroz provided strategic direction for, and supervised programming and implementation of, remote wireless data transmitters for a multi-million dollar U.S. Army Corps of Engineer clean-up program at the former Fort Ord, California. In addition to his business achievements, Quiroz is a United States Army Veteran who served in Panama and Desert Storm. After his time in the Army, Quiroz went to ITT Technical Institute where he earned an Associates of Science in Computer Animated Design.
