Donald Gessen, CCIM

Don Gessen has been a member of Block Real Estate Services, LLC (BRES) since 1992. He was promoted to Vice President in 1998, specializing in leasing, sales and development of retail, industrial, and investment properties. Prior to his affiliation with BRES, Don began his career with Xerox Corporation. He has continued his commercial real estate career, acquiring experience in the analysis of income-producing property for acquisition by a national real estate investment trust, in commercial investment, and industrial real estate brokerage. He has experience in the sale of apartments, shopping centers, and industrial properties, and sale/leaseback of national investment properties. He was given the Master of Excellence Award for Income Production. His portfolio includes individual transactions completed in excess of $80 million. He served on the State of Missouri Professional Standards Committee for 10 years and was a Grievance Committee Member with Kansas City Regional Association of Realtors. Don is a member of the Commercial Mediation Group of KCRAR. Don has been active in the local chapter of CCIM and served as President of the Kansas City CCIM Chapter in 2013. In 2016 and 2017, he has been a regional vice president for CCIM. He is a graduate of Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts. Don resides in Prairie Village, Kansas, with his wife, Lisa.
