Don Hinton

Don Hinton has been a licensed real estate broker since 1978 (license # 00575959). He has extensive experience representing all participants in a transaction (sellers, buyers, landlords, tenants, lenders, and borrowers) for all types of commercial real estate (multifamily, retail, office, industrial, self-storage, hospitality, hospital, assisted living, and skilled nursing). This is a rare combination providing Don with a broad understanding of all types of commercial real estate and the unique perspective of each participant. During his career, Don has sold and financed well in excess of 1.5 billion in commercial real estate. Don has extensive experience with all product types and all loan types. During his real estate career, Don spent 27 years as a commercial real estate lender. The first 15 years with Imperial Bank (now Comerica Bank) as a production loan officer, senior credit officer, and manager of the real estate division. The next 12 years with Imperial Capital Bank as a production loan officer. During his career in Banking, Don was generous with his time, educating others about the intricacies of commercial real estate lending, construction lending, and real estate loan workouts and restructuring. He was a frequent guest lecturer at several Federal Reserve Bank offices (Washington DC, Saint Louis, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and others), educating bank examiners on these topics.
