Derrick Urquhart
Derrick specializes in the sale and lease of industrial land and buildings located in the Pierce County and South King County markets.
Derrick's expertise includes transactions involving relocations, development, dispositions, as well as port related uses. He began his real estate career at Schuler Properties, where he was a real estate consultant for national and local corporations for a variety of industrial product types, including manufacturing, investment, distribution, and government agencies. Prior to joining Neil Walter Company, Derrick was a Senior Associate at Kidder Mathews and the manager of industrial real estate at the Port of Tacoma from 2005-2010. During his tenure, he was the lead for acquiring property for marine terminal development, totaling over $180 million. He also managed the Frederickson Industrial Area, which included negotiating land sales and entitlements for Pierce County’s largest industrial warehouse; the IKEA distribution facility. Derrick is a former PGA member and active golf tournament player.
