Derek Bornhorst

Derek L. Bornhorst is a Principal and President of Lee & Associates Naples and Fort Myers, Florida. Mr. Bornhorst is one of four original founding members of Lee & Associates for the Naples and Fort Myers market. Fort Myers was the first Lee & Associates office that opened in Florida. Mr. Bornhorst’s team specializes in strategic representation for institutional Landlords of commercial real estate, and buyers and sellers of investment properties throughout Florida and the United States. Derek and his team have been repeatedly recognized as a top producer. He currently resides in Sanibel, Florida with his wife Michelle and a proud Dad of one daughter and one son. Prior to joining Lee & Associates, Mr. Bornhorst worked at CBRE and Grubb & Ellis. In 2005, Mr. Bornhorst started his career in Fort Myers working with Bob Johnston and Jerry Messonnier, which are still partners to this day. We have focused on Industrial and Investment Real Estate since day one which has proven to be one of the competitive advantages our team has enjoyed in the SW Florida market. Mr. Bornhorst is a licensed Florida Real Estate Broker. He has earned his CCIM and SIOR designations. He attended Ohio University, Business School and graduated in 2001.
