David J. Hillegas joined Cushman & Wakefield Jacksonville in 2014 specializing in Office Tenant Advisory. David specifically focuses on representing and advising occupiers with their needs including strategic planning and implementation, financial analysis, market evaluation, and successfully providing leasing, acquisition and disposition support. David’s success is a direct result of his strong work ethic and knowledge of Jacksonville’s commercial office market. By having a comprehensive, real-time understanding of the market, David is a valuable resource for his clients. David’s ability to connect with people has enabled him to expand his client roster to include local, regional and national companies. David is actively involved in Cushman & Wakefield’s Tenant Advisory Group (TAG), which heavily focuses on collaborating and sharing best practices for tenant representation, and C&W’s Life Sciences and Healthcare Practice Groups. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, David held the position of Asset Management Coordinator with Flagler Development Group. He assisted the company’s COO manage approximately 13 million square feet of Class A office and industrial assets throughout major markets in Florida. David acted as a leasing liaison for Flagler’s 3rd party represented assets, comprised of nearly 1.8 million square feet of properties. He handled day-to-day leasing activities and retained integral relationships for the portfolio’s success. David is a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 2002-2006, as a Combat R.T.O. in the 82nd Airborne Division, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant. He participated in tours supporting OIF II in Iraq and in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. David graduated from Florida State University, with degrees in both Finance and Real Estate. David and his wife, Kristie, married in 2011 and now have three beautiful daughters.
