David Dexter

David P. Dexter has worked in commercial real estate since 2003, starting with Peebles & Cameron with early emphasis on office, industrial and land transactions. In 2006, Dexter shifted his focus to the retail side of the business, handling leasing assignments for the Retail Management Group at shopping centers in eight southeastern states. Dexter joined White-Spunner & Associates in 2009 with responsibility for property management and leasing of its 1,000,000sf + portfolio of properties. Dexter became a founding partner in NAI Mobile in 2013, where he is a brokerage consultant and is focused on office, industrial retail and land transactions. At the start of 2021, David along with the team at NAI Mobile decided to fully rebrand to CRE Mobile. Dexter is a native of Mobile, Alabama, and graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Marketing. Before entering the field of commercial real estate, he specialized in governmental affairs in Washington, D.C. and was Executive Director of the Coastal Conservation Association of Alabama. Dexter is past president and current member of the Mobile Commercial Real Estate Exchange Club, member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), National Association of Realtors, Alabama Association of Realtors and Mobile Area Association of Realtors. Dexter and his wife, the former Catherine Macon Smith, have two children, Parker and Callie. The family attends Ashland Place United Methodist Church. Dexter enjoys hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.
