Darell Handler

Darell Handler began his career at the Handler Real Estate Organization in 2011 specializing in agency and third-party leasing. During his 10+ years in brokerage, he has risen from licensed real estate salesperson to Chief Operating Officer. As an agency and tenant rep broker, he represents a broad spectrum of clients in numerous commercial transactions, including, All Mobile Video’s 60,000 SF renewal at 226 West 26th Street, Fred Alger Management’s 50,000 SF relocation to 100 Pearl Street, QSAC’s 40,000 SF relocation and expansion in Queens, Ocrolus’ 19,000 SF relocation and expansion at 101 Greenwich, and Wachtel Missry in its renewal of 17,000 SF at 1 Dag Hammarskjold Plaza. Darell has been instrumental in the successful repositioning and leasing of Handro’s Midtown West portfolio, substantially increasing occupancy in each property. As Chief Operating Officer Darell oversees the leasing of the Handro Properties portfolio as well as our third-party tenant representation division. He plays a leading role in several other aspects of the company including construction/design and marketing initiatives. Recently, Darell’s responsibilities have expanded to include sourcing, analysis, and diligence of new investment opportunities for ESSH Investments, our investment fund for LP and Co-GP investments outside our core portfolio. ESSH currently participates in more than 125 investments. Mr. Handler was named a 2018 Rising Star by Real Estate Weekly and sits on the boards of the St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children’s FOSM Committee, the Jewish National Fund, the Anti-Defamation League’s NextGen Real Estate Committee, and is a former board member of the Young Men’s/Women’s Real Estate Association. In addition, he is a Founding Friend of the Whitney Museum of American Art. Darell is a licensed New York State associate real estate broker and a graduate of the University of Rhode Island.
