Darbe joins CBRE Land Brokerage - bringing over 25 years of diverse engineering and business experience. He has served the Real Estate Development, Energy, Aerospace and Defense Markets in Texas, Colorado, California and Nevada. Prior to CBRE, Darbe served as the VP of Business Development for Surpetrol, Inc., focusing on business introduction into North America; as well as Sr. VP for EverFind Resources for market expansion into an array of high technology opportunities across Houston. In the high technology sector, Darbe was with the Operations Manager for Oceaneering International over NASA's Sonny Carter Training Facility - a world-renowned Astronaut underwater training center (a facility he teamed to design, construct and commission earlier in his engineering career. While at Oceaneering, Darbe joined the Subsea Group as a Sr. Project Manager responsible for $MM offshore projects for clients such as Hess, Shell and Freeport McMoRan. With over a decade of real estate development experience, Darbe served as the Sr. Vice President for Sunrise Companies and Ironbridge Homes in the development of master-planned golf course communities such as Red Rock Country Club in Las Vegas, Royal Oaks Country Club in Houston; as well as Ironbridge Country Club and Garden of the Gods Country Club in Colorado. Darbe was responsible for Development Management, Land Development & Acquisition, Sales & Marketing, Custom Home-building Division, Amenity Design & Construction; as well as serving as HOA President, Board of Directors, and Utility District & Owner Representative. Darbe also served as the Land Development Manager for Portrait Homes for a division start-up in the construction of multi-family homes in the Houston market. Darbe's 15 years of Project Management and Design Engineering experience spans development of the International Space Station with McDonnell Douglas; Astronaut training and Diving Systems for NASA for SpaceHab and Johnson Engineering; the testing of US Naval weapon systems for General Dynamics; and five Cooperative Education work terms with Dresser Industries as a Manufacturing Engineer over downhole logging trucks and tools.
