Dan’s interest in real estate led to Michigan State University, where he earned a degree in real estate. He was later named the director of the Real Estate Program at the University of Michigan, a position he served for 12 years. A proven specialist, Dan brings a long, storied career in commercial real estate—having entered the industry in 1960. A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) since 1976, Dan’s experience led him to be a CCIM instructor for 30 years, serve as CCIM’s national president in 1997, and receive honors as its Instructor of the Year in 1998. He has also served as the assistant executive officer for the Michigan Association of Realtors for six years. In 1996, Dan earned recognition as the Sarasota CID Realtor of the Year, and was the Sarasota Association Realtor of the Year in 2003.
