A native of Georgia, Curtis has called the Asheville area home since 2002. He began his real estate career selling commercial and exclusive residential properties in Vail, Colorado. Upon his relocation to Asheville, Curtis ventured into the world of mini-storage where he bought and managed several locations in a three-county area. During that time he also remained active in real estate brokerage while affiliated with French Broad Realty. In late 2005, Curtis joined CoveStar Investment Realty Advisors to become more involved in commercial brokerage in Western North Carolina. Being a commercial investor, manager and broker has given Curtis the ability to offer his clients valuable insight with regard to maximizing potential profits through ownership and management. Curtis received his CCIM designation in May of 2007. The CCIM designation is awarded upon completion of a post-graduate-level curriculum and attainment of a level of qualifying experience. CCIM’s are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis, and form a business network encompassing 1,000 markets throughout North America. In May of 2012, Curtis became a graduating member of the 30th class of Leadership Asheville. This is a year-long program in which participants develop ways to enhance community leadership by developing, connecting, and mobilizing citizens throughout the region. In his spare time, Curtis enjoys cycling, farming and spending time with his wife and three boys.
