Corey Iaria Purcell was attracted to the Adirondacks in 2005 when she moved here to be near the area's pristine landscapes and to take part in the active lifestyle of the region. She initially lived in the heart of Lake Placid on Main Street then later moved to Jay where she built her cozy, eco-friendly home in the woods. She has since relocated to Saranac Lake with her husband where she loves the strong sense of community. Corey is originally from the New Jersey Shore and has lived and worked in several locations in New York City, Georgia, Florida, and New Jersey. During her early career in the Hotel/Restaurant business, she learned to provide top-notch service to her clientele in a variety of venues. She also learned the value of cultivating an adventurous taste in food and wine. Corey's professional background has focused on producing, promoting, and marketing the arts, specifically working with international performance artists and many talented musicians. Much of this work involved fundraising for organizations such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters or the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund for 9/11 and many more. She has been recognized for her hard work as well as for her success with fundraising efforts. Most recently she serves on the steering committee for Saranac Lake's Farm to Fork Festival. Before settling in the Adirondacks, Corey traveled extensively in the United States and abroad. She is very passionate about the beauty of the Adirondack Park and is pleased to represent the area as a licensed salesperson. In her spare time, Corey likes to take full advantage of the Adirondack Mountains and lakes by skiing in the winter, sailing and riding her motorcycle and sidecar in the summer, and camping all year long. As a member of the Four Seasons Sotheby's International Realty Team, top producer in 2012 and 2020, a member of the President's Club, Corey values simplicity, accuracy, integrity, and beauty.
