Clayton began his real estate career in the summer of 2006 by accepting a job with local Austin developer Buffington Capital Holdings. Buffington Capital Holdings is one of the top master planned community developers in Central Texas. His duties there ranged from updating pro formas, managing engineers and construction managers, locating future development tracts, and raising equity. He also spent time working alongside the president in negotiating loan contracts and managing personnel. ALC Partners is still an active investment partner in a BCH project. Education: Clayton graduated with a degree in Finance from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. His studies also included a full time internship with Koontz McCombs Development in San Antonio during the summer of 2005 where he was first introduced to development land acquisitions, loan packages and development pro formas. Clayton and his wife Tara have three children, Sadie, Violet, and Cade. They enjoy trips to Port Aransas, the South Texas Brushlands and supporting the Longhorns. .
