Caty Edwards

Caty spent the past ten years as a mental health counselor after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill with a Master's Degree in Social Work. While working as a licensed clinical social worker, her primary role was to help and advocate for her clients. Caty said, "I feel that my counseling experience has prepared me and will continue to serve me well in my new role as a real estate broker. I loved the relationships I was able to build with clients, and I am looking forward to continuing this in a new capacity at Plank Road." She is bringing these skills to this new position to be able to listen to her clients, collaborate with them to identify their needs and help them achieve their goals. Caty is excited to be able to continue helping and supporting others through the home buying and selling processes. Caty explained, "My husband was the first person to suggest that I pursue a career in real estate almost five years ago. At the time, we had just bought our second home and finished selling our first home a few months prior. He saw how much I enjoyed the process, and he knew how much I love working with people. He saw something that I didn't even see myself." Caty, her husband, Dave, and their two daughters moved to Anson County, NC in July 2018 after Dave was hired as the Wadesboro Town Manager. Since moving here, Caty has felt a strong desire to find a way to serve the community and felt passionate that she wanted to work locally. Caty commented, "This community has been so welcoming and accepting of our family since we arrived. We have fallen in love with this place, and our family desires to do what we can to invest in and strengthen the community. Choosing to become a real estate broker has provided the perfect opportunity to do just that. I am looking forward to serving Anson and surrounding counties!"
