Carole Higgins

I have worked full-time in real estate since 2001. I started out working at a Re/Max selling residential real estate. In 2005 I was recruited by a well-known real estate developer to manage a new real estate company in Denver and oversee a sales team of agents selling lofts in a prominent downtown Denver development. With the housing market's collapse, I moved away from large development real estate and went back to solid residential home sales. We created Cygnus Real Estate and I was and am the managing broker. We built the brokerage during the downturn and had to learn to adapt. For the first couple of years, we primarily worked with distressed home sellers, real estate investors, and fix-n-flippers. In 2011, my husband and I decided to move back to our home state of Michigan and expand the brokerage. My niece now runs our Denver office and we opened a new office in Suttons Bay. We have family in Suttons Bay and have spent many summers here in the past. We love the area and hope to help others find the perfect luxury home or vacation retreat.
